So if you want to easily create a shopping list, use ChatGPT agent mode.

This is what I did. In ChatGPT I said I wanted it to go to my shopping list favorites page and compile the first 4 pages. I figured that it would be easier to delete things I didn’t need than to add them or try to figure out a logic here.

It tried to do this but failed. It said that the store needed me to login as a user. I took control of the browser with the big button that said “Take control” and put in my username and password. I am not worried that someone will compromise my shopping account. If they want to see what I like or send me some groceries I’ll take my chances. Then when I was logged in I stopped control and then it continued automatically.

It took a few minutes for it to go through the pages and it had some difficulty selecting the icon for the next page but it did do it, and then complied the list in ChatGPT. Frankly I was surprised because I didn’t expect it to be able to do this.

I then took the list and shared it on Apple notes so that when I was in the store I could just check mark what I had purchased. It was pretty easy just some cleanup on the formatting.

So in about 15 minutes i used ChatGPT Agent mode to do something that otherwise would have taken me 30 minutes to an hour. I had 64 items listed grouped by category for easy shopping and with their full names so there was no misunderstanding. I was impressed.
