
Sometimes I say silly thing like money is no object, when the rep at FedEx was helping me today. It was going great until after I said that he showed me a screen of prices and delivery times. Almost $320 for an overnight delivery? Money is an object.
I knew I wasn’t going to be reimbursed for that, so I choose ground shipping and it will arrive in 5 days. I sent them the photo of the label and it showed the tracking number. So now everything is taken care of for that client.
Some things I need to stop saying. Whenever I have said Money is no object, in the sales process money suddenly becomes an object. Everyone has up charges they want to do.
Maybe this means I am cheap. I can’t believe how much companies are paying that are doing overnight. That is way out of line what it must cost. Certainly in a major city like NYC there are other packages that are going that way.
Well anyway, its sent and the customer will be happy its safely boxed and on its way.
