Don’t look for credit for your work

Many times I have changed a companies culture, and I didn’t get credit for it.

Often when you let other people have your wins, you get more done than if you were trying to make yourself look good. If the end result is positive change, then you can do it anonymously as well.

For example, in one company they did morale boost short meetings to have fun and get to know their fellow team members. I reached out to the presenter of that and suggested and idea. He liked it and asked if I wanted to present/share content. I said sure I’ll help however I can.

When people are doing things that show that they care for others, we need to support that kind of positive thoughts and actions. Working as a team requires that we care for others. Too often I have worked in places that your coworkers were outright hostile. Its is too bad. It doesn’t need to be that way.

If you let go of your need to be recognized you can accomplish alot by helping others look good.
