It seems so. I say this because I noticed that there were some journalists who follow me in my LinkedIn Analytics today and I thought that was interesting.
Of course they may not be reading for ideas, but to get a summary on the niche that I cover. Since I work with Fortune 100/500 companies, and help them with transforming their business technical process this can be useful to some people.
Or maybe I represent something else to them. A random topic generator and often by doing something unrelated you can get insight into things. I am often shocked at how many ideas that I get doing random and unrelated things.
I’ll give you an example. In one company I was struggling with a problem and I wasn’t sure how to fix it. This was before there were places on the internet with the solutions, so you had to really struggle to find a solution. My boss suggested that I take lunch, and while I was eating and thinking of something else the solution came to me. I immediately finished my lunch and went and fixed the issue.
An interesting side note here is that one of my coworkers noticed me and talked to my boss. They noticed that I was in a rush and seemed stressed and was concerned about my well being. The boss explained that we had a problem and that I was working to fix it and that why it was a short lunch and I looked stressed. Isn’t that nice when other coworkers are concerned about your well being?
Now I will work even harder to provide content that will helpfully inspire the people who invest their time reading me.
