I’m not a fan of Claude. I think it is dumb compared to other AI’s. However there is one thing that it does do better. Handling excel output.
Today I copied HTML from doing a crude copy and paste from a webpage. There wasn’t a way in the program to export the information I needed. When I put it in ChatGPT it gave me garbage output. It added characters to try to represent the spacing and other formatting that was contained in the paste.
When I put that same copy and paste into Claude and told it to clean it up and output to excel it did it perfectly. It also removed the columns that weren’t needed and formatted it lightly and with class. I was able to do in 3 minutes with Claude what I couldn’t do in 10 minutes with ChatGPT.
I use Gemini for my personal use, but the companies that I work for generally have Claude, ChatGPT or Grok. I’ll use them, but they are second rate in my opinion.
However if you work with excel output and you want to save time, it might be worth trying out Claude for this feature. Gemini does ok with Excel but since it isn’t in the company I can’t use it. I don’t have a need for personal Excel documents so I don’t really know.
