It works. If you run your resume through ChatGPT and ask it to add keywords focused on what the recruiter asks you, you have a high chance of getting the job.

The reason for this is that hiring managers often don’t understand technology so you can’t assume they understand your experience in the way you describe it.

What also works to get tons of recruiter interest is to pack it with keywords. When I had this approach in the past I was constantly getting contacted by recruiters. It was so effective that I had to remove those keywords because I was getting contacted for jobs that I wasn’t qualified for.

It is difficult to know what exactly are the keywords that hiring managers are looking for. The job listing will often listen obscure or niche terms and if they aren’t on you resume/LinkedIn profile they assume you don’t know them. As a general rule if you are going for a job and you don’t have a keyword on your information, you need to add it if you have that experience. Don’t assume they understand anything.

It also helped that the company was behind schedule and needed someone to make progress. I think they were pressured to find a solution and believe that I can help them. Which I can. I am going to work on a solution today in fact.

Its fun finding solutions and incredible to work in a job that increases your worth with experience.
