ChatGPT predictive suggestions are better than Google

Using ChatGPT this morning I typed two words and incredibly it predicted what I wanted to ask it. That is more accurate that Google was with its autocomplete in the search engine.

Now you might say to yourself of course because it has a history of what you are looking for. The problem with that answer is that what I asked it for was something I have never mentioned or asked it before. It should not have been able to predict it based on the limited information that I gave it. Yet it did.

This means that either I am more of a machine that I think, or that the ability to read intention is growing better.

It would be nice if it is getting better at reading intention. Lots of people aren’t good with English and that continues to frustrate many people.

I have to say that I prefer GUI interfaces, but the text interface with ChatGPT is growing on me. It is getting better at giving me the information that I want.

I have also started to experiment with questions that are more subjective like psychological questions. You can see my last post about HSPs about that. The answer it gave was fair if basic. Still it can only get better and hopefully one day it can help people heal with its words.

If you are still using search engines to find information you are doing yourself a disservice. The only reason to use a search engine is to find the URL of a specific piece of information for authority on a subject. ChatGPT doesn’t always give up its sources easily or has links that are outdated. I don’t think search engines will die, but they will be on life support in the future.
