I am surprised but I continue to use ChatGPT increasingly more each day.
With search engines being less useful, it has filled the gap of most of my information requests. On the rare time it doesn’t find an adequate answer, I will do a search in Brave Search but generally it works well.
On average I use it ten times a day. It helps me save time through pouring through documentation. I still read through documentation, but probably only 10% of the rate that I used to.
Which means that when I am working for a client I can get answers to them faster, and time is money.
Could I exist without it? Of course. It would be more work to do a search and then scroll through pages until I find the information I need. I like learning, so I never considered that as a burden. However with ChatGPT I can learn faster, and that increases my worth to employers.
I would say that someone who uses ChatGPT can at least double their work easily and work less. Any company that isn’t helping their employees learn how to use AI is doomed.
