As a Microsoft consultant, I have to say that Windows 11 is terrible.
I have two Windows 11 machines and they both have issues. Primarily with sound, but also with video. Come on, the classic mac that was 25 years old was never this error prone playing audio and video.
YouTube continues to cause problems with audio and video. It says “Your audio device needs to be restarted”. No other application has this issue. Not games, not other remote connections to other computers, and not anything other than YouTube. Ridiculous. I am almost at the point where I no longer want to use YouTube.
However it goes deeper than that. Teams has all kinds of issues in AVD and outside of AVD. It just doesn’t want to work sometimes and it isn’t a networking issue because I have troubleshoot it with a network cable. It is just terrible programming on the part of how Teams deals with errors. Now I am seriously thinking of just using my phone to connect to teams instead of AVD because its terrible.
Is there anything that I love about Windows 11? It provides me a job. I love that customers need me to have to fix their issues.
Yes this technology is complex, but for the average user it almost is unusable. We have to do better in IT.
