Broke my water flosser accidentally

I accidently dropped my water flosser when I was charging it and it stopped working. My fault.

However it was the 4th water flosser that failed in about the same number of years. On average they last a year and the hand held models don’t seem to have any advantage for more or less money spent on them.

Then I thought I’d try one that you plug in. Perhaps that would be more reliable. It wouldn’t require me to charge it and then it would be less likely to break. It was small and cheap at Costco and I could have it in a few days. I was sold.

I received it today and used it. It seems to work pretty well. Interestingly it has tablets that you can put in the water that are supposed to help make your teeth whiter. I don’t care about that but I will use the free tablets and see if they make any difference. I used one and the taste wasn’t terrible.

So why am I sharing this? Mostly to say that the handheld flosses aren’t reliable. They are also very hard to clean. I liked the thought that I could travel with it, but I didn’t travel in that time so it was a non-issue. It is also nice not having to recharge it. The older I get the less rechargeable things that I want. Although I will always want the rechargeable headphones and wireless mouse. Those are a pleasure to use.

Using a water flosser is incredible. If you aren’t using it, you are doing yourself a disservice.
