Yes this is for the nerds. By having this functionality, browsers can be made even more secure.
BleepingComputer is a great website to stay current on security and IT topics. I read it everyday in my RSS feed in Brave.
Now with this functionality, companies can easily increase the security of their browsers and to me, this now puts Brave ahead of even Edge for enterprise deployment since it can be customized now more fully.
Edge still has some advantages for Enterprises but this is a situational decision now, when in the past Edge was the clear winner for Enterprises and high security.
