Being comfortable makes it hard to change

I was just appreciating how much I love being where I am at. Other than having to deal with the noise its almost perfect.

This isn’t a complaint. Between using the 3M Peltor and the Sonos Ace I think I have the sound issue solved.

I was very comfortable in my last apartment. Sure it had its flaws but I had been there many years but I had to change. So I looked and was shocked at how terrible many apartments were. Finally I found the one I live in now and it seemed like a dream.

If I had my choice I wouldn’t move. However once I did move, there were advantages and benefits from moving. Not just in terms of jobs but also in learning from past mistakes and understanding how to choose an apartment better.

Learning and change can be difficult. It is easy to do what you have always done. However I have seen that the people who don’t challenge themselves to grow often become stale and lose their value/edge over time. I have always wanted to become more valuable not just to get more responsibilities, but to impact the world in a helpful way.

When you are too comfortable change is seen an optional. Change is never optional. You have to push yourself each day to grow.
