Apple Trackpad on Windows 11 terrible

My mouse has been broken for some time but I finally threw it away and since I had this I thought I would try it out with Windows 11. It is terrible.

The tracking works fine and just as you would expect. However it doesn’t scroll up or down and there is a third-party and FOSS software to fix this but both of those aren’t great solutions. The free version introduces possible security problems, and the paid solution is very restrictive and has terrible licensing terms.

So I have been using a combination of it and the built in track pad and it is not a great experience. I might have to break down and buy a mouse. When you play a game having a mouse is what I am used to. I thought I could use this for gaming, but it is a challenge. I will probably try a few more days and then get a mouse.

It is really hard to let go of using a mouse when it has been the primary way of using a computer for me. I guess I could try its trial period. I just don’t like the way that the company does business.
