I found the Gemini agents so helpful that I thought I would try creating my own. I asked it in the chat box interface to create a rss feed of the top security websites that I could read. It did that and then in the wizard it asked if I wanted to have a schedule and I did, and I said update and it was done. It couldn’t have been easier.
Then I used it and it was fantastic. Rather than have an RSS reader it showed me the top 10 stories, and I went and adjusted it to show the top 20 stories. The way to adjust it was also intuitive. It said edit. It did all the hard work and did an expert query to find the answer. It took my basic request, understood the intention and produced something incredibly useful.
Now is this something that I will continue to use? Of course. I am curious and it is fun to do things that make my life easier. I know that ChatGPT had agents but I never used them because using ChatGPT was frustrating enough to get what I needed. It was a pleasure to do this. I know I am a nerd, but non nerds can do this. You don’t have to understand anything to make a Gemini agent that can help your life.
I will be trying out other ideas for agents today. I am so impressed and glad I bought this.
