Now why would I do this if I am already paying for ChatGPT Teams/Business edition for $20 a month? Easy it is better.
Why it is better? In the last week I have been putting in every ChatGPT query into Gemini as a test. Four times the output from Gemini was so much better than ChatGPT that it made ChatGPT just look stupid.
Not only this, but on the questions where they were roughly the same quality, it was always more through and I always learned more than ChatGPT shared. ChatGPT is like pulling teeth. It doesn’t want to share information. Gemini repeatably shared information that was key/critical and helped me move the project forward with my client or my personal life.
So many examples here of how Gemini was better for me both personally and professionally. No I am not being sponsored and personally I dislike Google/Alphabet so I am not motivated for any other reason than I believe its a better tool.
One of the reasons is that I have had a drain problem in my bathtub in my apartment. I have tried various chemical cleaners and they didn’t work. I asked both ChatGPT and Gemini, and ChatGPT said one answer that is said was the key to fix it which was having it mechanically cleaned. Gemini suggested an enzymatic approach and something that could dissolve hair and grease, and I bought a brought a product that did an amazing job. In fact that product Instant Power Hair & Grease dissolver is something that I was going to share in another post. I let it do its thing for 90 minutes and when I finished it with hot water it swirled for the first time in the 2 years I have lived here. I am thrilled. ChatGPT was wrong, and Gemini was correct.
Gemini also showed more psychological insight when I shared a dream I had with it and to probe its possible meaning. It was insightful and asked follow up questions at the end which was very helpful. I like that Gemini doesn’t assume you know everything and offers to add additional detail/context rather than just abruptly end the conversation when you may want more. Just on this alone it was worth the $25 a month purchase.
The most exciting part was the use of NoteBookLM. I added my website to it as a source and it gave me a ton of options that I never expected. It allowed me to make videos, audio, mind map, PowerPoint Slides and a beautiful infographic and more. I am including them all here.
For $25 a month this is a no brainer. Buy this and you will make your life easier. Oh yeah if you listen to the audio podcast it is funny the way they really twist themselves into pretzels to make it sound like I had a comprehensive plan in my website.
