No I am not selling this, just sharing what has helped me.
I had a projector that had roughly 600 ANSI lumen. My fault because I ignorantly confused ANSI with LED lumen when I bought it so I thought it was brighter than it was.
Now this projector has about 5000 ANSI lumen or more than 8 times the brightness and it was the first thing I noticed. It really was stunning when I turned it on and still is stunning now. Everything is so clear and bright that I am just thrilled with my purchase.
I almost bought another brand but when I did more research on how bright a south facing window is and that 3000 lumen wouldn’t cut it. Yeah it would help, but it would still be washed out. When I was watching YouTube reviews I saw a review for a $33k projector with 10k lumens. Man that was amazing. Still I can’t afford that and probably will never be able to afford that.
So for $2600 this seemed like the best combination of features that I needed. I wasn’t worried about color accuracy or saturation. I was looking at low quality streaming movies and I’m sure those weren’t calibrated properly. I watch lots of YouTube and most of the quality of those is terrible. So I really just needed something that could stand up to the sun and be clear with text.
This projector and ALR screen makes the image as bright or brighter than my newest laptop with the top of the line display. I feel so lucky to be able to enjoy a life where I can try out new technology that makes my life easier. I also wanted to support a US manufacturer instead of a Chinese one and that was another reason that I made the decision to purchase this.
I have liked almost every ViewSonic purchase I have made. A long time ago I used to buy ViewSonic screens and they were the best that I could get at the time. It was amazing how bright and clear they were then, and they are still continuing that tradition.
What is the downside of this product? Its a little larger than my last projector but not by much. Its a little heavier which is a non issue since its on a strong stand. I am going to get years of enjoyment out of this purchase I can tell.
