For the first time I had YouTube not allow a video to play on my Windows 11 machine. It said “Audio render issue. Please restart your computer.” I tried another video and the same problem happened so I restarted and it fixed it.
I didn’t think much about it but I saw as I was researching another problem that this happened to someone with a windows 7 computer as well. Same kind of message and similar time frame to me. Ok then. So there seems to be a problem with YouTube.
I have had problems with YouTube videos no matter what browser or OS except mac I have been using. I watch alot of YouTube videos and learn many things, but they have a surprising number of issues. For example the most common problem I have is YouTube videos freezing or not starting. I have a 1GB FIOS connection so it shouldn’t be an issue, but it is. The WiFi strength is max, and I am using multiple other laptops that show their WiFi is connected. So why does this happen?
I never have audio render issues playing games, using emulators or doing anything else. The number #1 issue with sound on my windows computer is Youtube followed by Teams. Why is this so hard to get right? I have a USB cable plugged into my headset. How does it get simpler than that?
Anyway, if you are having this problem in YouTube now you know how to fix it. Restart, or buy a mac.
