Nice resource. Even a link for download. Doesn’t get much easier than this. This is a great blog to get useful and current information.

Migrated Word now wants to connect to scanner and camera – slows launch

I found a file named “Camera & Scanner Plug-in” in the Office/Add-ins folder (in Applications). I trashed that file and now Word starts up as usual.

Problem when starting up showing boot screen

That’s weird. Even if you don’t have a startup volume specified, it shouldn’t bring you into that menu.

Try resetting your PRAM according to this kbase article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

Like the above poster said, go into System Preferences, go to Startup Disk and select Macintosh HD (or whatever you’ve named your hard drive).
