WordPress › Support » No images in rss feed. I had this problem so this is the first post with the new settings. I wonder how many RSS readers I have who will care? Sometimes I think that WordPress is just another kind of vanity publishing. You really wonder if it is worth the effort or if there is a better way to help the world.
- StumbleUpon. I must admit that if I had to go back to another time in history it would be as a Roman citizen. I think it would have been fun living in that society. Not cool with the slavery or other downsides, but they achieved a great deal. It would have been fun to be a part of that development.
Error message 503 Service Unavailable when stumbling by topic. I ran into this error since the new update to SU. So is anyone else receiving this? Apparently this has been an issue for the past few years. No clear solution. Extensions to browsers, and other browsers have the same issue.
The first one is called WP Random Header. It simply randomly chooses an image from a folder called “header-image” it wants you to create in your wp-content folder. Not a big deal if you know how to use FTP or cPanel interface.
The second one and the one I am using now is Add to Header. It is fantastic and even though developed long ago, still compatible. He did a great job with it. It requires a bit of HTML knowledge, but it’s not overwhelming. Basically you need to be able to find the URL for the media in your media library (or URL if you are hotlinking) and you need to know how to use the img src command. If this confuses you, ask a web designer friend to help you or hire me! This does way more than just this, and is a fantastic addition to any site. You will find other uses for it as well.
