Working Long Hours Can Be Depressing, Truly : Shots – Health Blog : NPR – StumbleUpon. Hmm. The jobs that I have worked, 11 hours seem to be a minimum of working.

Honest homeless Austrian returns €7,000 – Yahoo! News – StumbleUpon. Interesting. A homeless man with no money finds a huge sum of money and turns it in. The man who lost the money didn’t thank him. I think if I lost a large sum of money and it was returned to me, that would be the first thing I would do. Even if the money wasn’t mine, I had responsibility for it, and that person saved me a great deal of grief. Why is it so hard to be thankful for those who help us?

- StumbleUpon. I guess this is depicting the difference in seasons. I was thinking it was fall, winter, spring, summer. I base this on the position of the sun relative to the landscape. What do you think?

David Edwards – Digital Matte Painting gallery – Fallen Beauty – StumbleUpon. This is a thoughtful idea. The best of both worlds. Order and the uniqueness of nature.

Beautiful Brush-Less Portraits (12 pieces) – My Modern Metropolis – StumbleUpon. This is really nice stuff. He apparently does street art as well.

So I have added the “dogs” category in StumbleUpon hoping I might learn something interesting. What I have learned is that there is a ton of duplicated content, but more importantly a firm desire to try to convince people of their beliefs.
Its interesting that people spend lots of time and money trying to convince others to change their beliefs. I used to be that way. Then I learned that I can only share what I have experienced once, and then let it go. For example in todays browsing I found a ton of website trying to convince me that Pitbulls are gentle dogs and great pets. If that is true or false I don’t care. What I find interesting is the idea that we can give logical reasons and convince others. We don’t convince others, we just appeal to their own biases and agree.
Or am I wrong? Can someone really convince you to do something you don’t really want to do without using force? I’m talking about the idea that if you argue about something enough, people will see the logic in your side and change their mind. That has never worked for me.
It’s fine that you give your opinion. Give it once and then shut up.
