Intel shows off encrypted video conferencing for secret meetings | VentureBeat. This is an amazing accomplishment to have encryption applied to real-time video streams. I wonder how much processing power they needed to solve this problem?

Anyone else having problems with Netflix streaming?

I have used 3 laptops and all of them have had streaming issues with Netflix. My friend and I both have MacBook with 2GB of ram, and an older Dell Latitude.

I have done the normal troubleshooting steps. I have rebooted the computer, tried it with being minimized or maximized and experimented with different browsers. The worst browser on Mac seems to be Safari, then Firefox. The least problematic seems to be Chrome. Having the screen maximized seems to cause the most problem. Buffering it doesn’t seem to help. The Silverlight preferences don’t offer any help and I am using the newest version.

Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Data caps claim a victim: Netflix cuts streaming video quality. This is concerning. Netflix is reducing quality because of the data caps. As a big Netflix fan myself, this is a terrible idea. We have unlimited long distance phone calls. Why is data any different? Yes it is more intensive on the network and dense than voice, but unlimited is still unlimited. I will end my AT&T DSL service because of this behavior this month.

Hacking NetFlix : Warning: New Phishing Scam Targets Netflix Subscribers.  The deception is getting harder to detect isn’t it with this kind of forgery.  I wonder if we shouldn’t click on any links in emails to be completely safe from this kind of social engineering.
