How the Luxury Industry is Using the iPad – Luxury Society – Blog. It is things like this that give Apples its deserved luxury status. I think a little of it is also wanting to seem “modern and creative” that using Apple implies. For some companies like Google using Apple is a security consideration. I expect that more companies will make this choice as well. The first powerbook the G3 250 was $7000 when it first came out in 1997. Two years later it was $3000. WiebeTech RTX220-QR RAID: SSD speeds at HD prices

From the article “The price of the RTX220-QR with the twin 2 TB drives is 863.00, while the largest OWC SSD array twin 400 GB SSDs for a total of 800 GB RAID 0 costs a whopping 3,200.” It seems the major fault in this unit is that it can be lounder than other RAIDS when running so if it is in a back room that might work best.

Intel SSD with 6Gbps performance

This is kind of silly. For the price of $284 120GB drive is a hard sell for most people. When laptops (get information to fix a laptop here) are a few hundred dollars more with a standard drive, I doubt the average person would say “Hey let me install and use this.” Intel needs to focus on reducing price to make it more popular. Other good SSD options include this 1TB or this Micron.
