Why You\’re Not Who You Think You Are | World of Psychology – StumbleUpon. This is interesting. It says that our sense of self is shaped by where we are and who we are with. This is almost an argument that we are all the same.

Has anyone else felt that what you are pursuing isn’t making you happy?

We Are Very Happy You Came

I have been sensing that often lately. It is odd that I have pursued things in my past, and when I achieve them I am not happy. It is not buying something material, but doing something as an achievement.

Perhaps its something that happens as you get older. You start to question if the things that you thought were important once, are still important. For example, I always wanted to understand something. Now that I have understood that small thing, it doesn’t feel like I imaged it would have. Sometimes I think the luckiest people are those who never achieve what they want. Then they always dream of the pleasures they will feel if they achieve it.

Maybe a wiser course of action is to listen to what my internal voice is telling me, and to act on that instead of mistakes of my past actions. Sounds crazy doesn’t it?

Anyone else tired of hearing dumb sayings?

1902 Barber Dime

If you read on the Internet, you find certain phrases used way past a healthy lifespan. Today the phrase that is irritating me is “turn on a dime”.

Ok, let’s think about this for a minute. What can really turn on a dime? No car, vehicle or anything else that I know can turn on a dime. I saw a lawnmower once that seemed to rotate on its inner wheel, but that was a lot larger than a dime. I think the only thing that could turn on a dime is a drunk ant. Are you with me?

Woman earns top Judo recognition at 98

Keiko Fukuda Earns 10th Dan | The Mary Sue. What a touching story. She wanted to achieve the dream and she has. What a lifetime of work and dedication it represents. I wonder if she is happy? I think you have to do things in life that make you happy, and that will help the rest of humanity see it is ok to be happy and feel good.

The rich are different — and not in a good way, studies suggest – TODAY Health – TODAY.com. I guess this goes back to that famous philosopher who said “Mo money, mo problems.”
