New shaver offers the best of electric and traditional

I really like the shaver I spoke of in a past review the Panasonic but I have another shaver that I think you will love. It is called the Phillips Norelco OneBlade.

I received this today from Amazon and it only cost $34! So I should say that I have tried many different brands and types of shavers and I think for the price, this OneBlade can’t be beat.

The benefits start with the ease of use. One of the disadvantages of electric shavers is that they tend to take more time than traditional razors. However they also tend to be cheaper and easier to maintain since you don’t have to sharpen them. I also like the fact that electric razors are more gentle on my sensitive skin, so when I used to use razors my skin was very irritated.

This is one of the awesome advantages of OneBlade. Even though it was my first time using it it was more gentle on my skin than any other razor I had used. In fact, I didn’t even use any shaving cream and it was incredibly fast and smooth. With the panasonic it normally takes an hour to shave my head/face/neck, but I shaved my face/neck in 10 minutes at most. I tried it on my head it worked very well there too.

So what is the downside? Well the way that shave I don’t see a downside vs a traditional electric shaver or manual razor. It defy combines all of the advantages of an electric shaver with the advantages of a manual razor. The price is estimated at a $32 replacement cartridge after 4 months of twice a week usage. Since I shave once a week, this puts almost 8 months of shaving for $32. This is cheaper than just buying a single pack of some brands of disposable manual razors. Even cheaper than an electric razor and more effective than the panasonic.

Do I regret buying the Panasonic? No. It is still a very useful thing and its reliability is proven. The only downside of this device is that a few people out of thousands found it was unreliable. I hope that is not the case. Even if it is however, it will be worth it to buy and use simply because of how effective it is. Give it a try and I think you will like it.

Stories from my Past: Listen and lets try again.

I understand that non technical people can get confused with computer things. Sometimes the simplest things can cause problems.

Passwords are the bane of everyone. It doesn’t matter if you do technology for a living, you struggle with them. I struggle with them everyday and experts say they don’t make us safer. Still, they are a requirement almost everywhere so you have to deal with them.

People often forget their password at work and most companies have policies that force people to change their passwords as well. Because of this, most people tend to forget or need help with their passwords at work. Many people struggle with the often inconsistent requirements between all the different passwords they have. So they come up with different passwords that are compatible with the systems they have to access.

It is a common thing everyday for someone to call in and say they need their password reset or their account unlocked. Most computer accounts will lock if you put in the wrong password more than 3 times. Such is life right? Some companies have systems that allow people to unlock their password if they answer some basic challenge questions correctly. Even with these systems, there are problems with people locking their accounts.

So you accept this working in IT. Many times your job is a glorified password assistant. Today I helped someone who got frustrated with her password and didn’t want to listen to me. I offered to help make a password but she tried again and again and it wouldn’t accept the password. This is a common issue for people. They tend to try to retype the exact same password they had before.

So I worked with her for a half hour and spoke to her boss about the problem. I showed her boss it was working once she finally listened to me. Her boss explained that she gets frustrated easily and thats why it took so long to work on this issue.

Having difficulty with simple things doesn’t make you stupid. It just means its a skill to develop. Having patience with people is a worthwhile skill to develop as well.
