iPad wont restore – several causes

Same problem with me and my iPad. 

Took it off of the charger today and it wouldn’t respond to the home button or wake button. Plugged it into my Mac and it said it was in recovery mode yet it won’t recover! Always fails with error 6.

I’ve tried all of what is mentioned in http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1275 but to no avail.

Looks like I’m going into the Apple store tomorrow.

He went into the store and they replaced it.  Looks like it is a hardware problem.
