Do you want to download a file or webpage on an iOS device like an iPad?

Métaphore...!!!

This thread at the Apple discussion forum explains more. Or you can do what King_PenguinKing_Penguin on May 28, 2011 1:51 AM suggests:

If you want to download a file and store in on your iPad then you need to have an app on the iPad that supports that file type e.g. iBooks or GoodReader for PDFs – you should then be able to do ‘open in’ and ‘transfer’ the document from Safari into that app (you can’t do this with all file types). Safari doesn’t let you save a webpage, but other browsers do e.g. Atomic Web

Demo has another suggestion:

As far as I Know, you can’t download a file in Safari. There are browsers that will allow you to do that. I use iCab. It has a ton of features and while I seldom have the need or desire to download a file from the web on my iPad, I’m pretty sure iCab will do that. Check it out in the app store.

Mac OSX 10.6.7 pdf print problem solved, fonts (via Farbfinal.de Tech Blog)

It's a new version of PDF reader.

Nice solution. I haven’t had this problem myself but if it happens I am glad to know the solution. Have you ever watched the Andy Griffith show? It is really funny.

Issue: The OSX 10.6.7 update makes printing to PDF impossible to a lot of applications. Usually, switching fonts may help but thats of course not a solution. Solution: Hopefully, you have a time machine backup from the previous OSX version, preferably 10.6.6. If so, here is the easy fix: – open time machine – restore this folder from 10.6.6: /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ATS.framework done. As TeenTitan said:

If your using preview. You can actually pull up a list of all Annotations. Using this list you can select all the Annotations and then delete all the annotations at the same time.

How to do this:
in preview, with your PDF open.
go to the menu bar
click on the “View” menu
from the “view menu” chose “SideBar.”
from the submenu “SideBar” chose “Annotations”
On the right side of the PDF, Instead of a list of page you should now have a list of “Annotations.” click on any of the Annotations listed.
go to the menu bar
click on the “Edit” menu
choose “Select All”
Press the “delete” key

At this point you could use Save As to re-save the file as the ‘share friendly” version of the PDF.
