Book Review: Feng Shui: Mind & Body, Spirit & Home

I did not like this book. I thought I was interested in Feng Shui but I don’t feel that knowing any of this information is helpful. I think it takes more of a strong intuition than intellectual decisions. Read the Amazon reviews here.

Bruce Schneier: The iPhone Will Not be Safe From Malware. Of course. The whole idea of security is silly. How can anything made from man be secure from man? You can certainly make things harder to mess with, but sometimes you have to admit that securing things only leads to more work to the users, not in more real security against people with mal intentions.

Has anyone watched a SF show called Lexx?

British author H. G. Wells' 1895 novel The Tim...

I found it on Netflix and because I like Science Fiction I watched it. The first season was pretty good, but then it quickly got worse. This is not a rant about the show, but more of a question of why?

Why do shows like this get made? With all the great fiction that has been written, why is so little produced as movies? I understand that people don’t want to mess with classics, but some just is crying out to be made. How can people not appreciate some of the fine fiction classic that are available? Does this mean that the people who make movies don’t believe that best-selling books will be popular movies?

Why are the worst movies made from classics? Is our collective IQ going to grow with more Rambo movies?
