Aluminum iMac survives fire, water. Pretty cool. I wonder if this means that the insurance company doesn’t reimburse you though. Could be a bad thing actually.

So is this a new thing? You sue the vendor when their products cause an insurance claim?

Apple is being sued by the insurance company of a Connecticut family whose house was badly damaged by a fire started by an Apple laptop charger. The fire occurred in May 2008, and the Glastonbury fire marshal determined that the charger for an Apple MacBook Pro triggered the blaze. Insurance company Great Northern paid a claim of more than one-million dollars in damages, and is now seeking to recover those damages from California-based Apple. … Read More

190 hours later (via just a small town girl)

So you think its bad if you have lost or had a phone stolen? This lady has had it happen 4 times!

It’s been 8 days since I lost my phone. I realized the last 4 phones I’ve owned were stolen or broken, and had to be replaced. I really should look into insurance next time. Roughly 190 hours. It doesn’t seem like that long, but my phone became an extension of my life, gently guiding my daily activities. I really was much too attached to it I think.
