Review: Iomega 2TB Mac Companion Hard Drive | TechCrunch. This pricing is way off. For 3TB $449 is almost the same as the Time Capsule at $499. A Time Capsule offers so much than this unit. Iomega has never impressed me. I would never buy one myself. Every experience I have had with the company has been to deal with their failures.
USB 3.0 vs FireWire 3200 | TechieSouls – StumbleUpon. Nice comparison. I didn’t know about FW 3200 before reading this. I have always liked FireWire for macs, and USB for PCs.
Cannot see Firewire Filesystem: Apple Support Communities. The user found out it was the cable. Always nice to have a spare to check on things like this.
FireWire 800-400 Adapter. The one year warranty concerns me. Don’t they believe in their own product? Still I would try one and see how it works out.
Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters. The bottom line is if your power adapter is breaking and you take it into an Apple Store, they might replace it if it is not due to abuse.
If you like portability and have the money you might love this drive. It has mixed performance but probably adequate for most people. Nice that it has a built-in RAID.
So is this WD fault or Firewire? Does this happen with other brands?

It is a great value how long these powerbooks have lasted. I would have loved to get one myself but I was not in that financial place when these came out. Oh well, I enjoy the several year old MacBook I have now. Even an older mac can be great fun can’t it?
