Apple iCloud: Manage App Data Backup and Storage

Português: iCloud para iOS, Mac e Windows

Apple iCloud: Manage App Data Backup and Storage. This is a helpful way to manage the data and storage you are using on Apple iCloud. I haven’t used iCloud much since MobileMe was such a disaster. I turned it on, but a month later it had a problem so I turned it off and haven’t used it since. Not a good start to the service.

So it turns out that for iCloud Apple ID’s need to be email addresses. That is interesting. I seem to have two email addresses that work equally well for me. One is the email address I had before the change to iCloud which was my gmail address. The second, was created by me during the installation of Lion and setup of iCloud. It asked if I wanted to create an iCloud email address. Sure why not I said? So I created one that ends in a me.com address. Now when I log in, I have logged in with both email addresses and they both seem to work and show me the same free app downloads from the Apple store.

iTunes 10.5 won\’t launch after upgrade…: Apple Support Communities

iTunes 10.5 won\’t launch after upgrade…: Apple Support Communities. Thanks Walter Rowe for the solution. This solution worked for me.

I had a corrupt iTunes library file. Go to Music/iTunes and rename “iTunes Library.itl” and restart iTunes. If your crashing stops, then the library index file was the issue. All your media is still there in the Music/iTunes/iTunes Media folder. You can drag-n-drop that folder back onto iTunes and it will rebuild the index. You may have to redo your iTunes preferences and reload your iOS devices, but that solved the problem for me.

Unable to send mail using MobileMe…: Apple Support Communities

Ron Guest fixed it. This is a generally good idea to delete and re-add email accounts. It fixes many mysterious issues. The next upgrade is just to delete his MobileMe account.

OK. I self-solved this one. I deleted the MobileMe account on the MacBook Air, quit Mail, then started it up again and re-added the MobileMe account in Mail. Now I can send just fine.
