BAGHDAD, IRAQ - DECEMBER 07: An investor walks...

Iraq vet finds peace transporting dogs to new homes – San Antonio Express-News – StumbleUpon. It is interesting what he says:

Schlundt feels that every dog he helps save squares a debt for every life he took while fighting insurgents in Mahmudiyah from 2006 to 2008.

Great work Noah! Isn’t it scary that people who give so much end up on the losing end so often? I wish that banks could have access to an emergency fund for cases like this so payment plans could be worked out. Why do we treat someone who has been a foster parent to hundreds of people as though money is the only factor here?

My one employment drug test

Hashish Presumptive Drug Test

Anyone had an employment drug test? It was for a job at a University and they hadn’t even done a background check yet. I went to the facility some distance away in Chicago and it was crowded! There was a huge waiting room with at least 100 people in it. It took awhile for my name to be called. Fortunately they had lots of magazines.

Why am I sharing this with you? I was thinking about it the other day how recruiters often ask if you have any problem with a drug test or background check. I always say no because I know I’m clean. Background checks are always done, but I haven’t done any more drug tests. I wonder if drugs tests are becoming more expensive?

Has anyone taken drug tests more than once? What kind of industry were you working in?

In Foreclosure Bungle, Banks Accused Of Illegally Breaking Into Homes, Stealing All Your Stuff – The Consumerist.  This is a sad story.  The bank takes her husband ashes and they still aren’t found.  What kind of person makes this kind of decision?  What kind of people go along with it?
