Stepping in the river twice

There is an old saying that you can’t step in the same river twice. The water and environment change and so its never the same experience. I realized this last week when I was listening to a new album from a band I liked called Above & Beyond.

The first album I listened to is called “Group Therapy” and I loved it. The new album is called Tri-State and I’m warming up to it. At first I didn’t like it because it wasn’t like the other album I listened to. Then I realized that at whatever point someone is at their life, that is unique and can’t be repeated. That the most interesting people were dynamic, and didn’t just rehash the same things on every work they did. It is strange that I often pursue new experiences, yet sometimes resist accepting them at the same time. Does this happen to anyone else?

So here is to accepting the present, and being open to the helpful and good things that life brings us!

DeconGels blue goo sucks up toxic waste – May. 25, 2011 – StumbleUpon. Said it can clean up radioactive waste as well. Sounds interesting how many things it can clean. Isn’t it funny how many technologies were accidents?
