Why Piracy Is Indispensable For The Survival Of Our Culture Techdirt – StumbleUpon. This is an interesting point of view. I agree that many things would not have survived without a dedicated fan base. I’m not sure that things should survive if they aren’t important enough to value on the face of them. If we as a society don’t value Martin Luthers “I have a dream” speech for example, doesn’t that speak to our own priorities as a a culture now? I think that we will have to loose many things, animals, cultures, languages and possibilities before we start to value all of the abundance we have.

Stories from my past: I made a mistake

Often my simple mistakes, take huge efforts to fix. Today I was lucky, and got off easy.

I sometimes take the train when I go places, and today I forgot to get a round-trip ticket. No big deal I think, I will just get another one once I get to my destination. Well on my way back home, the train arrived early and I only had a few minutes to catch it. So I was glad that I caught it. Then as it was pulling out of the station I thought to myself “Wasn’t I supposed to buy a ticket?”

The conductor comes around and I explain that I made a mistake, but I didn’t have enough cash to pay her. So I have to get off at the next stop. Embarrassing! I get a return ticket and head home. On my way home, I have to transfer so I go to the ticket counter and explain that I owe them some money. That I didn’t pay for the first part of my trip, and that I went to the ATM to get some money to pay them. The lady who sells tickets is surprised and says “Oh but you don’t have to pay. The cost is the same because they are in the same area. It is really rare though that you were honest and told us.”

I made a mistake but I corrected it and continued on my way. May you also make minor mistakes, instead of major ones. If you make a major mistake though, that’s ok, no one is perfect.

YouTube vs. Vimeo. A comparision

This is a nice comparison between both of them. I must admit that I haven’t used Vimeo as much as YouTube but I will check it out more now. YouTube was always the first one that I thought of for video sharing. Great marketing isn’t it?

War between YouTube and Vimeo? Copyright gettyimages.com According to Nielsen analysis of consumer behavior suggests 70% of worldwide internet users watch videos online. And I agreed with them as I also most of the time while searching for a product demo, song, tutorial video, national/international advertisements just move towards youtube.com and when Im looking for talks related to specific topics Vimeo is the way to go. Younger the faster or Older the wiser? Though Youtube … Read More

Were Calling It: The In-Dash CD Player Dies in 2015

Were Calling It: The In-Dash CD Player Dies in 2015. No surprise here.  It is something that should have happened years ago. I was in Goodwill a few months ago and they were selling CD albums for a quarter.  I thought about that for a minute.  The people who would buy a scratched used CD vs the people who would just download the music.  The shelf was packed and no one was browsing the shelf the entire time I was there.
