Another great tool is SuperDuper which does far more functions, is less money $28 and a great recovery tool as well.

Hitachi bundled local and online storage

This is an interesting strategy. Offering free online storage as part of the purchase price of local storage. Seems like a great idea. I wonder if this will put companies like Crashplan and Mozy out of business? You can read more at this Macworld article.

Mozy vs. Crashplan which is cheaper?

Leaving Mozy’s online backup and switching to CrashPlan Gravitational Pull. With the price change from Mozy the best option for Mac users seems to be Crashplan. I have everything saved in Google Docs but if I move from Google, this will be the service I go to.
