Ecological socks

I bought my first pair of ecological socks this weekend. It is made with something called Eco2Cotton. I was really excited when 4 pairs of socks were only $12 retail, and I had a $5 coupon from another store next door. So it ended up being $7 for 4 pairs of socks.

I like thick socks. My feet sometimes get cold and a nice pair of thick socks in winter do wonders. Well today I wore them for the first time and they were great. I should have bought more. I didn’t know if I would like them so I started small. Anyway, I hope they last better than my last pair of socks which I won’t name because they were so terrible. They started falling apart less than 3 months after having them.

Do you ever get excited about new clothes and how they will improve your life? Oh yeah on that same trip I went to a store where a shirt was 80% off. So it normally cost $68 and it only cost around $6. What a steal for a new shirt. Sometimes sales can give you fantastic items. Perhaps they are out of style, but my friends aren’t that hip anyway.

Have you ever got a weird gift?

Sanford King Size Permanent Marker

I have gotten some weird gifts in my life. My first weird gift was a black permanent marker as a kid. It was the kind that used to smell very strongly and if you sniffed it long enough you would get a headache. Well I got a headache just trying to color with it.

I remember the marker very well. It was huge and it barely fit my little hand. I hand to grasp it with my entire hand and I used it to help decorate some of my toys. It was pretty bold and I’m not sure entirely wise to give a kid a marker, but I certainly put it to use. I learned that it didn’t come off my skin very easily either.

Dailymotion – N.Z. Inventor Creates Flying Hovercraft – a Tech. So how does this happen? The average guy invents a working and flying hovercraft. But major corporations with millions of funding (looking at you Skycar) have not produced a mass market one yet. What the video in the link above.
