Book Review: Living the 7 Habits: The Courage to Change (9780684857169): Stephen R. Covey: Books

Amazon.com: Living the 7 Habits: The Courage to Change (9780684857169): Stephen R. Covey: Books. So I loved the 7 Habits of Highly Effective people, but I did not like this book. I could barely read 60 pages and I had to stop. There was no new insight or thoughts of his work. He just repeated once again, what he had said in the first book. He needs to cover new territory. I would skip this book if you have read any of his others.

Amazon.com: The Heart of Change: Real-Life Stories of How People Change Their Organizations (9781578512546): John P. Kotter, Dan S. Cohen: Books. I thought this book was very disappointing. It was a simplistic work and covered old territory. I would avoid this book.

150 Free Textbooks: A Meta Collection | Open Culture. This is a great resource if you are looking for free online textbooks. Of course you can also check your local library or even ask if they could see if the book is available in other connected library systems. Often libraries share books with other institutions in the area in which they exist. I have featured this site before, and it is a rich resource.

By the way does anyone have a copy of “A survey of mathematics with applications 8th edition” they aren’t using or willing to part with for a small fee? I have a friend who could use it.

Are Books An Endangered Species? – Booked – Reading unbound – Forbes. This is hard to imagine that books are going out of style. Yes it is super convenient to read on a reader, but those of us who grew up with books think of them as something more than that. Books have a life of their own, and the pages that you turn are steps to building an imagination of their contents. I bet that if you tested someone on a fMRI that reading a book would give more pleasure than reading a reader.
