My Magic Trackpad behaves as if the…: Apple Support Communities

Apple Magic Trackpad

Thanks decibelx. I have a friend who has a MT and it feels great. What feels better though is his MacBook Air. It is a fantastic machine.

The local Mac Genius confirmed my suspicions that it’s wear and tear on the device.  Simply put, the Magic Trackpad isn’t designed to take a lot of physical ‘abuse’ via physical left clicks.  Suggested fix was purchasing a new unit and using the ‘Tap to Click’ functionality located in the Trackpad Point

Amazon.com: Garmin nüvi 1450LMT 5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Map

Amazon.com: Garmin nüvi 1450LMT 5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Map. This is a great car gps. I had a friend who bought it and I rode with him while he used it. I liked how it would call out the turns with plenty of warning.

It was also nice how usable it was. It took very little to get used to the interface, and for the price it was a great value. I think he bought it on Best Buy online for about $190 total. He has probably wasted more money on that in the past on gas from getting lost.

Why Its Time to Say Goodbye to Free Wi-Fi – Part Two. Excellent article that helps you be safer if you use free Wi-Fi. I appreciate Ken Colburn “The Data Doctor” suggestion. It is repeated below.

…There are couple of free forced HTTPS add-ons that I’ve tested and work without what you experienced with the EFF tool:

For Firefox users – Force-TLShttp://bit.ly/9CzNPE

For Chrome users – KB SSL Enforcer http://bit.ly/d5thKD

I just installed the KB SSL Enforcer and will test it with a free wireless network tomorrow.

Using Bluetooth stereo headphones with a Mac or iPhone

Using Bluetooth stereo headphones with a Mac or iPhone. The review says both “yes” and “no”. I have never been impressed with Bluetooth and too often it seems to get interference. I worked at a company that tried to use Bluetooth earpieces and they were always problematic even though they cost a great deal of money. I would avoid it.
