Is the iPod Classic the best?

Summary Photo of a fourth-generation Apple iPo...

It sounds like it from this article Best Ipod: Ipod Classic. I said this in the comments:

This was my first iPod as well. Unfortunately it broke so I never bought another iPod. Did you buy the first generation or get a later one?

Isn’t it surprising they haven’t made a larger capacity one by now?

Horny iPhone shhhhhhh (via Excuse Me……)

Clever amplification effort. I wonder if this is going to spawn new designs that don’t require power to increase phone capability.

ipod: ipod only plays out of one ear – StumbleUpon

Needle-nose pliers

ipod: ipod only plays out of one ear – StumbleUpon. Nice solution suggested in this thread. Also one of the posters said that he got some aluminum stuck in the line-in port. So I suggested 5 ways to remove the aluminum foil:

  1. Use a toothpick with some gum stuck on the end
  2. Bend a paperclip with a pair of needle nose pliers like a Leatherman
  3. Use the smallest screwdriver in a glasses repair kit
  4. Use two-sided tape and form it into a column by bending it on itself horizontally.
  5. Whittle a wooden matchstick into a fishing hook shape.

Odd Microphone Problem

iPad con dock y teclado inalámbrico

WB8IMY solved it.

Turns out I have found the answer. Apparently the input device must “look” like a real microphone to the operating system. Otherwise, it will not reroute the audio to the application. In my case, the device has an isolation transformer, which looked like a dead short to the iPad. I added some resistance in series and that did the trick.
