Book Review: Making the World Work Better: The Ideas That Shaped a Century and a Company (9780132755108): Kevin Maney, Steve Hamm, Jeffrey O\’Brien: Books

Amazon.com: Making the World Work Better: The Ideas That Shaped a Century and a Company (9780132755108): Kevin Maney, Steve Hamm, Jeffrey O\’Brien: Books. This is a terrible book. Unless you are working in the HR or PR department for IBM this is filled with half-truths and corporate credo’s. I like the pictures though.

Book Review: Hands of Light: A Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field (9780553345391): Barbara Brennan, Jos. A. Smith: Books

Amazon.com: Hands of Light: A Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field (9780553345391): Barbara Brennan, Jos. A. Smith: Books. I thought this had some interesting things to say. I don’t agree with everything she had to say. For the time it was published it was good, but it has been superseded by newer information.

Amazon.com: Confessions of a Prairie Bitch: How I Survived Nellie Oleson and Learned to Love Being Hated (9780061962141): Alison Arngrim: Books. This is a funny and touching book about the other side of Nellie Olsen. I hated her as a child, but I would not have if I had known her real history. Reviews of this are overwhelming positive. I would suggest this is a must read book for this year.

Book Review: Creole Serendipity Books 9780843176315: Stephen Cosgrove, Robin James: Books

Amazon.com: Creole Serendipity Books 9780843176315: Stephen Cosgrove, Robin James: Books. The serendipity series and the Sweet Pickles are two of my favorite childhood series.  This book teaches an important moral lesson that has always stayed with me. I was thinking of something related tonight and thought of this book.  Even 30 years later meaningful things are close to heart.
