Book Review: Hands of Light: A Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field (9780553345391): Barbara Brennan, Jos. A. Smith: Books

Amazon.com: Hands of Light: A Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field (9780553345391): Barbara Brennan, Jos. A. Smith: Books. I thought this had some interesting things to say. I don’t agree with everything she had to say. For the time it was published it was good, but it has been superseded by newer information.

Stories from my past: You look great!

Compliments are always nice. While I don’t seek them, I accept them if they come my way. Often doctors will compliment you as a part of charming you as a patient I suppose.

So one day I was feeling a bit sick and decided to try a new acupuncturist. She seemed to have enough credentials and seemed friendly enough. Generally my experience with integrative medicine has been mostly positive. I tend to go to people with certifications or verified experience.

I don’t tend to like showing my body so when a doctor asks me to strip I feel a little self-conscious. In this case I had to take off my shirt so she could work on me. She said that I look good and I didn’t have anything to worry about.

Thanks doc!

Focusing is difficult

Mallard (Female), Burnaby Lake Regional Park (...

In life, you are given lots of important things to do, but rarely are they essential.

It is important to take care of your legal, ethical, moral obligations. What is essential is that you grow in life. I think thats the definition of it isn’t it? I often feel challenged by the amount of growth that life asks of me sometimes. It feels overwhelming at times and sometimes it is.

I have found that if I can focus on the most crucial thing that is affecting my happiness, it tends to improve. Not always in the way that imagine, but often in ways better than I can imagine.

So stay focused on life enhancing things, and life will continue to improve.

Why less posts recently

WASHINGTON - MARCH 26: House Minority Leader ...

I have had less posts recently for a number of reasons. This is just a temporary dip, not a permanent one.

I could give the reasons but they don’t matter. The good news is that I am getting more clients. I had one remember and look me up from 4 years ago. It is very flattering when someone remembers you and chooses you over the easier and more convenient other options. Trust is a hard thing to gain, but an easy thing to lose.

Some of these are controversial interpretations. I wouldn’t say this was solved.

10 Strange Things About The Universe (via Listverse)

I don’t fully understand everything in this article, but it is a nice summary of some of the uniqueness of our Universe. Isn’t life interesting?

10 Strange Things About The Universe The universe can be a very strange place. While groundbreaking ideas such as quantum theory, relativity and even the Earth going around the Sun might be commonly accepted now, science still continues to show that the universe contains things you might find it difficult to believe, and even more difficult to get your head around. 10Negative Energy Theoretically, the lowest temperature that can be achieved is absolute zero, exactly −273.15°C, where … Read More

Rupert Sheldrake – The Morphogenetic Universe (via Empress of the Global Universe)

Fascinating stuff isn’t it? I read his book a few years ago and it was well-reasoned and supported. I believe in this and have benefited from his theory in my life.

1:20:27 - 2 years ago In 1981 Rupert Sheldrake outraged the scientific establishment with his hypothesis of morphic resonance. A morphogenetic field is a hypothetical biological field that contains the information necessary to shape the exact form of a living thing. A presentation at the Biology of Transformation Conference in 2007. … Read More
