I don’t really feel bothered by any of these. If people want to waste time and I am not paying them, what does it matter to me?

1) Browser Window King I hate it when people have more than one browser window open. I can understand it if there are two different browsers (safari + firefox for example) but … how often do you need that to happen, other than testing code? The Internet That Was: 1981-82 (via A Tale Told by an Idiot)

Interesting how things look when you look back isn’t it?  What I loved to read was the review of an Asia concert.  I bought one Asian album about 20 years after it was popular for 50 cents.  It only had one song that sounded good to me.  I think I would have liked it more if I had heard it when it was new.  Sometimes I think that one argument we should make to ourselves when acting on something is “How will I feel about this decision in the future?  Is it life enhancing or life denying?”

I recently stumbled across an archive of Usenet posts, mostly from around 1981. They’re archived using the Gopher protocol, so you most likely have to use one of the Mozilla-based browsers like Firefox, Seamonkey, etc. to be able to access them. Many of them are incredibly amusing from a historical standpoint.
