Reset PS3 Video Setting – Blank Screen – How to switch from HDMI to Composite – Composite to HDMI | Portfolio of Purazar Bhadha. I helped a friend with this problem tonight. Tricky, tricky!

  • Make sure the system is off.
  • Hold down the Power Button for 5-6 seconds – until you hear the second beep.
  • That’s it, your video settings are reset and you should be able to choose your input and configure it from there.

How to upgrade your PS3 hard disk – Tech Made Easy. This is a nice step-by-step guide. My friend has a newer PS3 so it’s not an issue for her, but it is still nice to know. I wonder how common it is that people do this kind of upgrade? Seems to me that it is a good opportunity to put another OS on it as well.

PS3 Portal 2 to come with free PC/Mac version, cross-platform play.  This would be awesome if all game companies did this.  You buy a version for PS3, and you also get the game authorized for play on the PC/Mac.  For families or hard-core gamers this would really score loyalty points.
