I had the same problem but this worked for me..

remove adobe PDF PPD from the following folders:

OS/Library/Printers/PPDs/contents/Resources/en.lproj,

OS/Library/Printers/PPDs/contents/Resources/Zh_CN.lproj,

OS/Library/Printers/PPDs/contents/Resources/Ja.lproj,

OS/Library/Printers/PPDs/contents/Resources/ko.lproj,

OS/Library/Printers/PPDs/contents/Resources/Zh_TW.lproj,

then re start Illustrator and try printing again. Mike

New printing problem with InDesign CS4: Apple Support Communities

New printing problem with InDesign CS4: Apple Support Communities. Nicely done. Good detective work. So often people answer their own questions.

Wanted to let folks reading this know that I spoke with an Apple tech person and found that the 10.7.2 upgrade apparently is the culprit, and is incompatible with wireless printing to my Lanier printer. I CAN print connected through USB. That’s a work-around for now, but I’ll need to contact Lanier about upgrading their driver

for OS X 10.7.2.

Aisolve over on the Adobe board was also helpful in advising me that if I was able to generate a postscript file (which I was), and able to generate a PDF by distlling it through Adobe Distiller (which I am), then I can safely assume that the problem lies with the hardware, in this case the printer driver. This lines up with what Apple told me.

Thanks, Apple and Aisolve!

Lion Will Not Recognize Permissions…: Apple Support Communities. Looks like the upgrade to Lion breaks part of flash. No surprise there. NeilShapiro even updates his own question:

OK, found that Adobe knows about this bug and says it will be fixed. Meanwhile. Here is the link to the Adobe bug report:

Shockwave and Flash on the Mac is less than optimal

mikons.com | create and connect. So I came across the first site that requested Shockwave, and it seemed interesting so I clicked on the link and installed it. After restarting my browser, I went back to the page. For me, it does not show the mouse tool tip once you select any of the right top tools. Not being able to see the tool tip is critical in a painting application. I don’t know where the responsibility lies with this, but I do not recommend Shockwave in Chrome on the Mac.

For that matter I am coming to the conclusion that Flash on the Mac is a mistake as well. If there is a flaw in browsing the internet it overwhelmingly comes from videos/flash enabled games. It has gotten so bad I watch flash on an old PC to minimize the problems. This is just shocking from a company that makes such complex software for the Mac and has such strong ties to Apple.

Charming. As a friendly gesture, I sent a note to Mikons to let them know this was a problem. My email was returned because the customer service box was full. Looks like I can’t recommend them if they don’t have minimal customer service levels.

How can I easily make a digital signature?

creating and verifying a digital signature

Adobe – Digital signatures. If you are asked to use a digital signature, you probably will find this document helpful. I created a digital signatures (DS) once when I was applying to a job with Adobe Professional. I still have the Adobe signature but I have never been asked to use it for anything else. Most companies that want a DS state on their webpage or form, that typing your name is the equivalent to a DS. It is surprising isn’t it how few companies care to verify your name?

If you have problems understanding that link above, you might do better with this link on how to create a digital signature.

Adobe Photoshop CS5 | Reviews. If you are looking for a bunch of positive reviews of adobe photoshop look no further. Most of them are 5 stars. Photoshop is a great tool and almost every designer that I have worked with has loved it. If anything, designers are inspired by its power and versatility.
