The case of the Mysterious disappearing disk space
Mystery of the disappearing disk space — Reality Distortion: Macs, Mac OS… – StumbleUpon. Interesting. I wonder what caused that behavior. I have never noticed that in any Mac I’ve worked on.

Do you want to share files between Mac and Windows 7? This is an easy way to do both read/write. Thanks Stress Test!
Open Disk Utility.app (Applications > Utilities), mark your external Disc (The entry starting with the size) and click on “Partition” on the right side. Select “1 partition” and as Format, select “ExFAT” that should work with files bigger than 4GB.

Go to System Preferences (under the apple) and Software Update is about the middle of the “Systems” line. On the bottom of the Pref panel for SW Update there are check boxes for checking automatically and downloading automatically. iTunes won’t play through Airport…: Apple Support Communities. I agree with Jolly Giant. I have found that turning off IPv6 has solved many strange networking issues and improved performance as well. It is surprising why it is on by default when the majority of their customers do not use it.

Bugs & Fixes: Mac OS X 10.6.8 bug work-arounds | Operating Systems | Mac 911 | Macworld. Fixes for the Optical Audio “Broken” that I wrote about before, the printer failure message, and network connection “lost”. Great work Mr. Landau!
