Often in life you find that it really does take two to accomplish more. That has been the best part of life when you find someone who can help you, and you help them as well.

Some touching images in the link above. One of them is where he is carrying his blind friend across the water.

I used to volunteer for the Special Olympics and work with people who had different abilities. I was always impressed with all the different gifts that they had. Life requires many things skills, and the intellect is probably going to be devalued once computers become more central in our lives.

It is every IT/computer persons fear that our skills won’t longer be needed when computers are able to fix themselves. Already in some limited ways, software is learning to repair itself. When people ask if I will have job security in the future, I say probably not since I imagine that robots will be able to fix technology far better than any human could.

Or perhaps I am wrong. Some futurists have thought that by 2045 we will be able to upload our consciousness to a machine. I won’t ever do that. I want to go to a better place, or die existing. Either way its enough to live.
