As I have tested, it’s only a problem with History archive. You don’t need to restore any info later.

My method:

– Go to Terminal, and type: open /Users/{YOUR USERNAME}/Library/
(to avoid hided Library folder)
– Go to Application Support/Google/Chrome
– Rename “Default” folder (to “Default_old”, by example)
– Run Chrome, so it generates a new “Default” folder, and close (Cmd+Q)
– Overwrite “History” file in “Default_old” folder with the new “Default” folder “History” file
– Delete new “Default” folder and rename “Default_old” folder to its original name
