Stories from my past: We should have more people like you

I was waiting for my friend once and goofing around on my phone when a woman was walking past and noticed me and laughed.

“Having a good day?” I asked.

“I am laughing because you are smiling so big and you seem so happy.” she said. “I didn’t expect that. We should have more people in the world like you.”

“Thanks”, I said. Sometimes you don’t have to come back with a witty retort, just thanks is enough.
