Favorite poems from Shel Silverstein
Who didn’t love the book Where the Sidewalk Ends? I memorized Sarah Cynthina Silvia Stout for second grade. I was thinking of one of my favorite poems from that book today. You can find him reading the book and sounding like Emo Phillips at the iTunes store here.
“I will not play tug o’ war. I’d rather play hug o’ war. Where everyone hugs instead of tugs, Where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug, Where everyone kisses, and everyone grins, and everyone cuddles, and everyone wins.”
