Apple – Support – Discussions – Itunes Crashes when Importing from …. b noir has the solution in two parts.

Hmmm. I wonder if the Safari for Windows 5.0.2 installer still contains an Apple Application Support 1.3.2
?
Let’s give the following a shot, Daisy (if you don’t have a shadow copy of the 7.9.4).

Uninstall your iTunes and uninstall your Apple Application Support.

Download and install the latest version of Safari:

http://www.apple.com/safari/download/

That should have reinstalled Apple Application Support. Check in your Apple Application Support program files for the CoreAudioToolbox.dll. Is it a version 7.9.3.0?

If so, take a copy of the dll and stash it on your desktop.

Now reinstall iTunes 10.1.0.54. Replace the CoreAudioToolbox.dll in your updated Apple Application support with the 7.9.3.0 version you had on the Desktop.

(If you don’t want it, it’s fine to uninstall your Safari now.)

Then:

Okay, first quit iTunes and/or Safari if they are still open.

If you’ve got a 32-bit Windows 7, drag the copy of CoreAudioToolbox.dll from your desktop into the following folder:

C:\Program files\Common files\Apple\Apple Application Support\

… replacing the copy that is currently in there.

If you’ve got a 64-bit Windows 7, drag the copy of CoreAudioToolbox.dll from your desktop into the following folder:

C:\Program files (x86)\Common files\Apple\Apple Application Support\

… replacing the copy that is currently in there.

Can you get an import and/or a sync to go through now, Daisy?
