Original iPhone vs. iPhone 3Gs: which is better in NYC?

Apple – Support – Discussions – Original iPhone vs. iPhone 3Gs: ….  After reading this you come to the conclusion that the network signal in NYC isn’t very good.  The phones don’t seem to be helping either.
